A pseudotorsional comparison of two crystal structures of the 50S ribosome, one unbound and one in a pre-translocational intermediate conformation. The change in η-θ coordinates between the two structures automatically reveals that the structural differences are confined to the A-site and P-site nucleotides (Duarte et al, NAR 2003).
